Essays
- 250 words. Describe your short- and long-term post-MBA goals, including your desired role, industry, and examples of target companies. How will an MBA support your path to achieving your goals, and which UCLA Anderson resources do you expect to rely on most to reach them?
- 250 words. How do you hope your UCLA Anderson classmates will describe you by the time you graduate? What qualities and / or values do you want to be known for, and how will you demonstrate them as a student leader and community member?
- 50 words. What is the first thing you would tell your classmates about yourself upon arriving at Anderson?
- Optional, 250 words. Are there any extenuating circumstances or additional context you would like to share with the Admissions committee?
Recommendations
2 recommendations for first time applicants, 1 new one for people who apply again. The school prefers a direct supervisor or manager who knows your work well. Peers, family and professors are usually not good choices. Submitted online by the round deadline.
Interview
By invitation only, and required for admission. About 30 minutes by Zoom or in person, usually with a trained second year student. The interviewer sees your resume but not your application.
Other parts of the application
A resume of one page, two at most. Scanned copies of your transcripts from every school after high school. No video is listed. The school does not grant deferrals, so an offer is only good for the same year.
